Private Piano Instructor

Foundation Music School is seeking a private piano instructor beginning March 18, 2024. In addition to private teaching, opportunities for teaching Group Piano may also exist.

Foundation Music School is a non-profit community school of the arts committed to providing high quality arts opportunities to individuals of all ages, abilities and incomes. Private teaching: FMS is currently seeking a private piano instructor for approximately 3-6 hours per week. Private lesson load can be adjusted, depending on candidate availability and number of interested students. Main hours of teaching would be 3pm-7pm, so interested candidates should have availability during those hours at least 2-3 days of the week (Monday-Friday).

Qualifications

Qualifications: A minimum of a Bachelor's degree in music (pedagogy, performance, music education with instrument emphasis, music therapy, BA) is required and/or previous teaching experience at the beginner- early intermediate level. Our ideal candidate would be energetic, able to communicate clearly with parents and administration, knowledgeable in multiple approaches to teaching, creative, organized, comfortable with google docs and registration software (training provided) and a team-player.

Compensation

Hourly rates are commensurate with education and experience, between $27 and $29 per hour.
