Foundation Music School has openings for private piano, violin, guitar, and voice instructors as well as Family Music/Preschool Instructors, for Spring 2023.
Private teaching: We are currently seeking part-time instrument instructors for 12-15 hours per week (which equals 24-30 students) with the opportunity to expand hours if mutually agreed upon. We would also be willing to hire instructors for 6-8 hours per week. We gladly work with our instructors to help them build the teaching schedule that fits our and their needs. Candidates should be available to teach primarily during after-school hours, 3-7:30pm, on the days they are teaching.
Interested candidates: Please upload a cover letter and resume, including three references.
Family Music/Preschool Instructor: We are currently seeking part-time teachers for our Family and Preschool music and movement classes. A strong voice is required and the ability to accompany yourself on an instrument such as guitar, ukulele, or autoharp is a plus. The ability to create a fun, creative learning environment is so important, as well as the skills to interact not only with children ages 0-5 years but also the adult who brings them to class! Number of working hours can be flexible.
Interested candidates: Please upload a cover letter and resume, including three references.
Qualifications: A minimum of a Bachelor's degree in music (pedagogy, performance, music education with instrument emphasis) is required and/or previous teaching experience at the beginner- early intermediate level is preferred. Our ideal candidate would be energetic, able to communicate clearly with parents and administration, knowledgeable in multiple approaches to teaching, creative, organized, comfortable with google docs and registration software (training provided) and a team-player.
Hourly rates are commensurate with education and experience, between $26.50 and $29 per hour.
