Special Needs
ADAPTIVE PIANO LESSONS (5+ years old) offer children with special needs the opportunity to experience the joys of music making while learning to play the piano. Adaptive Piano Lessons are led by board certified music therapists who custom design individual lessons to build upon the strengths of each child. In addition to learning musical skills, Adaptive Piano Lessons provide an ideal format to address non-musical developmental skills through music such as attention, cognitive, social, language and motor skills. (Contact us for fee schedule and to schedule an assessment.)
PRIVATE MUSIC THERAPY SERVICES, utilizing neurologic music therapy techniques, are available for individuals of varying ages and needs to address fine/gross motor, cognitive and speech/language functioning. (Contact us for fee schedule and to schedule an assessment.)
MUSIC THERAPY GROUPS benefit children and adolescents whose needs cannot be fully met in an integrated class or individual setting. Children and their families alike benefit from the welcoming and musically stimulating environment as they come together to share life. Classes focus on essential growth and development skills including, but not limited to, the following: fine and gross motor development, language and communication development and enhancement, cognitive growth and development, and also social skills such as being a friend and working together as a team.
