Family Music classes bring the world of music to children from birth to 4 years old and their parents or caregivers using a variety of age-appropriate songs which feature various meters, tonalities, instrumentation and styles. Our family music classes offer fun, interactive ways to nurture your child’s developing brain and body through music and movement.
Our Music Makers pre-instrument classes use music, movement, rhythm instruments, and music language to fully prepare your child for the next step – playing an instrument! These classes provide children with the musical tools necessary to be successful in any of our instrument programs.
Music Makers Instrument Classes introduce your child to instruments & prepare your child for success as a young musician. These hands-on instrument classes introduce your child to various instruments and allow them explore and create music in age-appropriate ways.
Your child’s next step is our Instrument Program. In our Keyboard and Strings and Things classes, beginning piano and violin students have the opportunity to participate in our small group programs that provide students with a total musicianship approach to their instrument that is both fun and motivating. Foundation Rocks allows students to learn various instruments, including keyboard, guitar, drums and vocals, in a fun rock-band environment! Through a group approach, children are able to learn from each other and overcome performance anxiety. Every class in our Instrument Program is taught by a highly trained, professional musician who is dedicated to helping your child build self- confidence, increase creativity, and develop a joy in music.
Private instrument lessons are offered on piano, violin, voice and guitar/uklele. In private instrument lessons, students study with teachers with advanced degrees and are given the opportunity to perform in community recitals.
For our students with special needs, Foundation Music School offers Adaptive Piano Lessons and Private and Group Music Therapy Services facilitated by board certified music therapists with experience and training in working with individuals with various special needs.
